Second Coming
The Second Coming refers to the physical return of Jesus to earth, which unlike His first coming in humility as an infant, will be in power and great glory (Matthew 24:30). Jesus’ Second Coming is the major prophetic end-time event for Christians, as it will signify the end of this world as we now know it. Following His Coming, the Rapture and Resurrection will occur, as the dead in Christ will rise first, and they which are alive and remain will be caught up together with Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:14–17). His Coming represents the end of this present life and work on earth, when “time shall be no more” for us, and we will enter the great eternal now (Revelation 10:6–7).
