Post-Tribulation Rapture
Jesus placed His return after the Great Tribulation period—when His angels will gather His elect from the four corners of the earth, all those who have received Him as their Savior (Matthew 24:29–31). In addition, the apostle Paul explains that the Antichrist will already be in power and “sitting in the temple of God” before the Rapture occurs (2 Thessalonians 2:1, 3–4), and we know from other passages that this event happens after the Antichrist breaks the “holy covenant in the middle of the seven years,” which triggers the three and a half years of Great Tribulation and persecution against Christians, culminating in the Second Coming and Rapture (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 13:5–7,1 Corinthians 15:51–52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Matthew 24:29–31).
