Millennium
After the Battle of Armageddon, Jesus Christ will take over this world and with His saints will organize and rule the world with righteousness. The Bible says that this period will last for one thousand years, and therefore it is known to Bible prophecy students as the Millennium, which is Latin for a thousand years. The Bible is full of descriptions of this beautiful millennial period, when the earth will be restored to a Garden-of-Eden like state (Isaiah 11:6–9; 14:7; 65:25; Hosea 2:18). The Devil will be bound as a prisoner and cast into the bottomless pit for the entire Millennium (Revelation 20:1–3), and the world’s unsaved inhabitants—those who survived the Battle of Armageddon—will live under Christ’s rule (Isaiah 2:4; Revelation 20:4–6).
