New Jerusalem
God’s heavenly city will descend from above to the beautiful, re-created planet Earth, and God Himself will dwell with humankind (Revelation 21:1–3). The heavenly city will measure nearly 1,500 miles long, 1,500 miles wide, and 1,500 miles high (2,400 kilometers) (Revelation 21:16). The entire city is made of pure gold, like clear glass (Revelation 21:18) and is surrounded by a beautiful fully restored and re-created earth, which will be populated by new nations of people.
