Beast (see also Antichrist)
The beast was symbolically envisioned in the book of Revelation as a monster that derives his power from the dragon (Devil) (Revelation 13:1–2). According to numerous prophecies, the beast, also known as the Antichrist, is personified in a powerful political figure who will appear on the world scene. He will become the leader of a new world order that will govern the globe and demand the allegiance of all nations (1 John 2:18; Revelation 13:3–8).
