Babylon
The entire commercial and economic system is described in Revelation 16 and 17 as Babylon. Revelation 16:17–21 tells of its worldwide destruction near the end of the wrath of God. “Babylon the great, mother of harlots,” as described in Revelation 17:5, comprises the entire world commercial (materialistic) system at the end of the present world.
