Sharing Bible Prophecy with non-Christians sometimes can be quite scary for them. However once you talk to some people about current events and what’s going on in the world, and connect it to Endtime Bible prophecy, they become very interested. That’s what led me to Jesus in my personal situation. I had never read the Bible, although I was a Catholic due to loving pressure from my parents. I always looked at the Bible as a book that old ladies read. No offense to older ladies, as I was very young at the time and had that wrong concept.

When I was young I did believe in God and that Jesus died for my sins and He rose again, but this was basically what I learned in the Catholic Church.

In my pre-teen and teen years my relationship with God at the time was like this. If I was in a baseball game in high school and m in a situation where if I got a base hit that would bring in the winning run, then beforehand I made a deal with God that I would stop smoking cigarettes or whatever bad habits I had if He’d just let me get a hit and win the game. However, if I did get that hit that won the game, my commitment with God was usually over in a few hours and I was back smoking again and still in to other bad habits.

At this point in my life I began to search for answers to life. I also became very interested in world current events and was starting to tune into what was going on in the world. Why was their war, rich people and very poor people and poverty? I began to see what the world was really like and it was a bit of a shock!

I started to question life itself! What happens when we die and is there really a heaven and what is it like! Is their also a hell? I was really searching for some truth as I was really lost spiritually.

I was with my girlfriend and another couple and we were talking about current events as we were driving Home from a music concert and then a party. In our political and world conversations my girlfriend’s friend said, “Did you know that what’s happening in the world is predicted in the Bible?" And she started sharing from memory parts from Matthew Chapter 24. Jesus was telling His disciples what would be the signs of His secnd coming and the end of this age!

"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come" (Matthew 24:4-8).

As the girl was sharing this information on wars, famines, and earthquakes it was like I had a news feed connected to me and I was remembering the various wars that happened, famines and major earthquakes over the years!

This was quite a long time ago but now you can see an increase in famines, pestilences (diseases) and earthquakes. In verse 8, Jesus said, “All these are the beginning of sorrows.” In the original Greek “beginning of sorrows” is “birth pangs”. In other words, like a woman giving birth, the birth pangs would be closer together in timing and the pain would continually increase until the baby was born, referring to Jesus' second coming.

After she shared all this it was like the scales fell of my eyes and from then on I knew there was a plan for man. Jesus came here the first time and preached the Gospel and died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected after three days. But the Bible says he’s coming back again a second time!

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:29-30).

It was like a finger was snapped and all of a sudden I woke up to a spiritual truth. In a very general way at that time I understood God’s plan and that plan was laid out in the Bible in the Book of Daniel, Revelation, Matthew Chapter 24 and other books in the Bible!
